Church of the Holy Family will be awarding a yearly one-time college scholarship award of $1,000. To be eligible, the following requirements need to be met:
- Must be a current parishioner (or a member of a current family)
- Must be a Catholic in good standing (regularly attends Mass, etc.)
- Must have received the Sacraments of Baptism, First Communion and Confirmation.
- Volunteered for two or more years in church ministry. (i.e., Eucharistic Minister, Lector, Sunday School aide, choir, altar server)
- GPA of 3.0 and above
- Already accepted into college
- Complete a 500-word essay on the topic:
“What degree do you want to pursue in college and why? How does it relate to the Catholic faith?”
All applications are due by April 1. Applications will be reviewed (blindly) by the Pastoral Council and awarded by May 1. The scholarship is a one-time award and will be paid to the college institution directly for tuition, fees, and living expenses.
