Focus Missions

All we have belongs to God; we are stewards entrusted to use resources for His kingdom and the common good. Giving stems from love for God and others, reflecting Jesus’ selflessness, especially towards the poor and vulnerable. Supporting causes that uphold the inherent worth of every person, from conception to natural death, is central to Catholic social teaching. Giving strengthens families and communities, aligning with Catholic social teaching that humans are social beings made for community.

Our “Charity of the Month” collections focus on helping those in need by supporting local families, individuals experiencing homelessness, and people facing food insecurity. Each month, we spotlight a specific area of need within our community, encouraging our parishioners to donate essential items, funds, or volunteer time to make a meaningful impact. Through these efforts, we seek to embody the spirit of compassion and generosity at the heart of our mission.

Our Focus Missions include: St. Anne’s Outreach & Twice Blessed Thrift Store, Seneca Choices for Life, House of TIME, Muscogee County School District (Angel Tree, Brewer Resource Closet, Sara Spano PTA Clothing Bank), and Open Door Community House.


Twice Blessed is a new Thrift Store in Columbus and every dollar made at Twice Blessed benefits St. Anne’s Outreach and their commitment to provide food and clothing to those in great need.

Twice Blessed is located at 1973 Torch Hill Road in Columbus. Hours are Tuesday-Friday, 10:00am-3:00pm and the 1st Saturday of the month, 10:00am-3:00pm.

St. Anne’s Outreach provides emergency groceries, rental & utility assistance, and employment readiness while striving to create a community that fosters faith, hope, and love. We rely on the generosity of the community to fund each of our programs. St. Anne Outreach’s work is not possible without the incredible generosity of the community! We offer many different volunteer opportunities. Each volunteer experience offers a meaningful chance to answer Christ’s call to serve our neighbor and to grow in communion with one another.

Seneca, Choices for Life, is a non-profit Women’s Center offering hope and healing to women before, during, and after pregnancy. Located next door to the abortion facility here in Columbus, they work hard to engage with any and all who visit the facility and offer prayer, support, and alternatives. For mothers who choose life, they provide support for two years, including clothing, diapers, medical help, and spiritual, life and job counseling. They also help women who are experiencing the grief of loss of a child through miscarriage, abortion, or stillbirth. www.senecacfl.org

Throughout the year we collect diapers, wipes and other items for the clients of Seneca.

Since 1994, the House of T.I.M.E. has helped 1,000’s of homeless women rediscover the Faith, Hope, and Trust they need to regain control over their lives. It is not an easy program, nor is it a 28-day rehab. The House of T.I.M.E. provides long term residential treatment  and permanent supportive  housing for women who did not succeed at maintaining sobriety. We demand strict adherence to our rules. We offer the structure needed to help women get their lives back. Our program is overwhelmingly successful in bringing about lasting recovery from addiction to alcohol and/or other drugs. https://houseoftime.org/

Partnering with Muscogee County School District and the United Way Community Schools program, we give to several programs to assist underprivileged children, including:

Resource Closet Once a year we assist Brewer Elementary and fill their Resource Closet with school uniforms, shoes, socks and other items as the school requests. These items go to those children who may need these items throughout the year.

Angel Tree Through the McKinney Vento group families are chosen to receives gifts. Those gifts are listed on an Angel tag and our parishioners pick up the tags and fulfill the need. We also send gifts to the families in the House of TIME program.

Sara Spano PTA Clothing Bank Sara Spano Clothing Bank provides clothing to the students of the Muscogee County School system. Since 1959, the clothing bank continues to serve approximate 900 students from the 52 local schools by providing gently used clothing, new shoes, new coats and new undergarments. The mission of Open Door Community House is to empower impoverished people in our community to realize their full potential as children of God. Open Door is committed to creating long-term solutions to poverty. Our guiding scripture is, “God is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.” Ephesians 3:20

Leaving poverty is not easy or quick. It is a journey. Open Door is here and honored to be called to be the hands and feet of Christ to walk alongside those God has placed in our doors. Once a month Holy Family Church provides dinner for Circles of Columbus, a program dedicate to teach families how to get out of poverty. https://www.odch.org/
